Then all of a sudden a light came on and I thought of a way to organize information in my brain so that I can readily use it when I needed it. It was a six day memory skill challenge. First, I took a look at the material to see how much time I needed to study. Then, I familarized myself with the chapters, titles, and subjects. once I did all of that it all began to make sense to me. The entire book began to come to life.

Good afternoon all,

How’s your attitude today, Good or bad?

Here are some thoughts that signifies a bad attitude: if you woke up this morning and let circumstances you created make you mad, if you saw someone that you know looking good and you weren’t happy for them, or if you took a glance in the mirror and critisized yourself. I hope your thoughts are no, no,no to any of these because that means you have some work to do; its never too late to get the right attitude. A lot of our bad attitudes come from what we eat on a regular basis; oh yeah, that’s right! What we eat can and will determine what we think of ourselves and others.

The first thing we need to understand is what foods can help us think in a more positive way? Well, let’s talk facts: Proteins are an essential part of our make up. for instance; hair, nails, and skin are all created from proteins. If your hair, nails, and skin are not healthy it’s because your not eating the right foods or there isn’t enough protein in your food selection.

I experimented on myself by selecting foods that have more protein in them to see the if it would have an effect on my attitude. Well, the results are phenominal I feet better and I notice a change in my hair, skin, and nails. I have a glow of positive energy reflecting off of me so now I make sure that I include protein in my selection when I shop for groceries.

AN important criterion that students have to check before admission to a beauty school is whether the beauty school is currently accredited to the NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences) or not. In fact, the students should be able to verify that the beauty school is following NACCAS regulations or not. NACCAS is an independent and autonomously working nonprofit organization that is recognized by the US Department of Education as a national accreditation agency for postgraduate cosmetology schools. Most state license boards require a minimum of 1,500 hours of education credits, and that would be equivalent to eighteen months. However, the requirements may vary from state to state, because some states allow an equivalent of 3,000 hours of apprenticeship in lieu of a formal certified training.

Associate’s Degree in Cosmetology

Most cosmetology-aspirants take-up the two-year Associate’s Degree in Cosmetology since a 1500-hour certificate course is equivalent to 18 months or almost a year and a half.

The additional six months education will lead to an Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Cosmetology. The coursework include skills training and knowledge about skin and hair science as well as how to operate and manage one’s own beauty or spa salon.

In earning an associate’s degree, the student will also have the potentials to become an instructor for a cosmetology school. Some US states, require a high-school diploma or its equivalent in apprenticeship experience, before one can enroll in a technical college or university.

Certifications in Cosmetology

A training certificate for a 1,500-hour general cosmetology curriculum includes instructional courses for different salon services which are partly conducted in a salon-setting. Although some of the instructional training may be imparted on a per course basis, these are usually taken as continuing education credits to meet the state’s requirement for license renewal.
