The Significance of a NACCAS Accreditation

AN important criterion that students have to check before admission to a beauty school is whether the beauty school is currently accredited to the NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences) or not. In fact, the students should be able to verify that the beauty school is following NACCAS regulations or not. However, before that, it is necessary to know about NACCAS and the significance of its accreditation for beauty schools offering any kinds of cosmetology courses.

NACCAS is an independent and autonomously working nonprofit organization that is recognized by the US Department of Education as a national accreditation agency for postgraduate cosmetology schools. The Delaware organization was founded in 1969 under the name Cosmetology Accrediting Commission or CAC. The name was changed to NACCAS in 1981. The main office of this 1969 organization is located in Alexandria, Virginia.
